taiwan trip!
i was suppose to wake up at 6am today. as usual, the snooze button gets hit like tons of times, and i only woke up at 7.30am. forgot to bring camera charger so had to detour back to the house. and get glares from both parents.

at the airport, it was super embarrassing. i had the largest group of people to send me off. there was this group of 11 other people that were there to send me on a one month trip. i mean, its ONLY A MONTH. i cant imagine what would actually happen if i went off for around a year or sth. like what, my entire extended family would show up with banners? urgh.

the airport was packed as usual. the flight was at terminal 1. sadly.

the plane ride was REALLY REALLY REALLY BORING. watched the dark knight on the plane. unfortunately, due to the plane's highly laggy entertainment system, it was quite horrible. like seriously. had to keep rewinding and rewinding. and then i had to worry about angie puking on me on my left (ok that was mean) and cuier puking (her motion sickness isnt as bad as angie's, but ah well).

at taiwan. oh boy. THAT was fun. cuier and i both got stopped coz our body temperature was above 37.5degrees. it was super embarrassing. and it was like totally our fault that we couldnt bring waterbottles on the plane to drink water. yupp. and the questions they asked were logical but nonetheless weird. haha. like, "have you been bitten by any mosquito recently?" and "do you rear poultry at home?" and "have you handled poultry poop recently" and the stupidest one was "have you been in contact with any dead poultry recently?" to that last question, i answered "i had chicken for lunch on the plane. does that count as handling dead poultry?" of course i said it less coherently in chinese. fortunately for me, my temperature dropped enough so they didnt need a blood sample from me. cuier however, was not so lucky. poor thing.

so then we went on the coach. our luggage was sent to the hostel by this truck like thing (i took a photo of it but cant upload it due to the crappy internet at the hostel. and taiwan isnt even that cold.

then we had dinner around 8pm, but the sky was so dark it felt more like 10pm rather than 8pm.

now back at the dorm and blogging. the internet connection really sucks.

the room is pretty small too. there are 4 of us in the room, but only 3 tables. annoying.
